I am conducting a focused study on how private, boutique-style micro-suites can transform airport downtime into a curated moment of ease. This research explores when travelers are most likely to reserve a suite, whether in the midst of a long layover, recovering from a red-eye flight, seeking a quiet workspace, or navigating travel with children.
The study examines which design elements shape the ideal experience, from soundproofing and mood-based lighting to elegantly integrated refreshment walls. I am also analyzing preferences for pricing, session length, and aesthetic details, with the goal of creating a space that meaningfully reduces stress, enhances comfort, and delivers measurable value for travelers and the airports that serve them.
